In a country that almost a year ago launched a project of moral revolution, which was to lead to new standards of political and social life, an average citizen should disagree with the above statement and say: Indeed politics unguided by moral values can easily degenerate into a dirty business, but once we realize this truth, reaffirm our values, exorcise the old demons, we should see the emergence of a new order, in which politics is a highly spirited patriotic duty".
A year pass during which no less than once a week we (the citizens) of the invisible network of corrupted politicians, affiliated with mafia or former SB agents, a plot which we (the state, our government) is to unmask . The more the political atmosphere resembles of a scandal, the more heated are the debates over moral issues.
While successfully throwing suspicion on widely respected people, present political leaders look for national heroes that would stir up patriotic feelings.
Such atmosphere can easily convince one to the opinion that politics is a dirty business. Id rather avoid both extreme position. Holding that politics is a patriotic duty, sounds too idealistic or cynical. Thinking that it is always a dirty business makes one indifferent and escaping any involvement.
